Only reason I am not giving it five stars is the fact there were lots of missing and wrong words. Really enjoyed the characters and it kept me reading until the end and wanting more. However, since this was written almost a year and a half ago I wonder if a sequel will ever be written. I hope
so I would buy it. Next time get it edited a bit better and it will be worthy of Five stars. Good Read.
Loved this book and can't wait for the next installment.
Melody's character is strong despite her circumstances leaving still able to find joy around her when she's got ever excuse to only see despair. The guys, so willing to be her family one that she truly needs is heart wrenching and only makes you want to see things turn out well for them all.
Truly a good read, and looking forward to the next book with excitement!
Really like the story but no way to get notified for next book in series. Would like to follow author, or sing up for newsletter but so far not available. Anxious to get more and see where it takes us.
A very good read. The first book set the story but the 2nd book really started the story to gel. I can't wait for book 3 to see what happens next. You can't help admiring the strength of several of the characters for surviving traumas in their childhood. I hope JCA has more to write about in this series - I can't help but wonder how they grow and mature. A good story, JCA, a very good story.
I actually enjoyed this book, I thought it was sweet (With some pretty dark themes in the story)and I would really love the second book I just can not find any info on the second book? Please don't leave us hanging!
I have no understanding as to why people gave this such high marks. I actually enjoyed the story, but the writing/grammar was so distracting I couldn't help but get pissed off while reading it. I feel insulted that the author thought this was worth publishing when, in the first chapter, there are at least 20 spelling mistakes and at least that many grammar/comma misuses. Couldn't the author put more care into their craft? I write fanfiction and put more effort into correct spelling mistakes than this 'published' author.

It's really difficult to find a good romantic reverse harem book. The setting, plot, character motivations that will lead you to believe that a reverse harem universe is realistic in this current world is not an easy task to accomplish for a writer. Spoiler ahead raped runaway meets a band of boys, they fall for her. It would be OK if the heroine, would have resisted or scream or tried to help herself from the numerous encounters of being raped, she had a lot of chances to run away but didn't. This I cannot understand. Then she's OK with being hugged and touched by the boys even though she had traumatic experiences with men. Sorry but I find this too far fetched to believe. And the back story of the boys do not convince me that is the reason why they fall for her so easily. Nevermind the stilted conversations or over dramatic unreal conversations or numerous grammatical or spelling errors, I like reverse harem stories & admire writers able to make the plot work in a current world setting without having any paranormal or Sci fi or fantasy elements, unfortunately this one does not work for me. The straw that broke the camel's back was the cliff hanger ending, the uncle who pimps her out kidnaps her, and rescue was only a few metres away and she goes with him without a scream or trying to escape? Then what's the point of running away in the first place? Sorry too many plot holes, and unbelievable choices by the mc just spoils it for me. And I also dislike that the characters are one dimensional. All the other women characters in the books are bitches, and the evil men she met are all evil. Other than her harem of course. This is one of the books I put off reading after going through a lot of other reverse harem stories and I can say there are better ones out there. I gave 4 stars for the author's brave attempt at writing a modern reverse harem (we need more imaginative writers of this genre) but had to minus 1 star for the typos & mispellings plus minus 1 star for weak characterization. I hope the author takes these criticisms as constructive and improve on them.
I actually liked this story quite a bit. I did not see really any similarities to CL's the Academy. There may have been a few things they shared in common but nothing glaring. Besides, CL has covered so many of the different personalities and abilities of guys that it's hard to find one she hasn't done, except maybe for cowboy!

Melody does have a very dark past and I can't say that I didn't wish for it to have been different. I think being homeless and on the run from abusive parents was enough of a challenge rather than adding in all the specific and dark abuse. But I'm willing to see where the author goes with it. So far it's a reverse harem that doesn't have all the sexuality that a lot of stories have. (A true Reeves harem rather than a menage story.)

I am really looking forward to move to this story, especially as it ended on such a cliff hanger!
